Appliqués the Easy Way

Ironing instead of sewing: it’s as easy as that. The BSN thermo film permanently bonds embroideries, patches and emblems – without sewing! BSN is ironed on the back of a completed embroidery design, making every appliqué extremely durable. And embroidery edges and borders don’t peel off.
BSN is available in two different versions: for delicates, washable up to 40° C and for industrial garments, washable up to 95° C – in any case, an incredibly time-saving, convenient and most effective solution!

For permanent bonding of edges, borders and seams.

Processing Recommendations

Coating of the embroidery design:
Place the embroidery design face up on the BSN foil side and cut out the design’s shape.

Type I: apply with a heat press, approx. 5 sec. at a temperature of 170° C.
Type H: apply with a household iron, approx. 5 sec. at a temperature of 135° C.

Remove the protective paper sheet from the coated design.

Appliqués on garments:
Place the coated embroidery design on the desired area of the garment and press it on permanently:

Type I: apply with a heat press (pressure: approx. 1.4 bar), approx. 15 sec. at a temperature of 170° C.
Type H: apply with a household iron (putting pressure on the iron’s tip), approx. 20-25 sec. at a temperature of 135° C.

Full adhesiveness of BSN will be achieved after 48 hours!

Tip:
Iron the base fabric prior to the BSN application. Fabric finishes will vaporise and you’ll achieve an amazing permanent bonding!
