Good Contacts Gained
Although this year's spring edition of Première Vision Accessoires -PVA took place under difficult conditions, Gunold was able to make promising new contacts during the three days of the fair.
Reiner Knochel, Textile Experience, who as a freelancer is especially responsible for the designers at Gunold and thus also for the exhibition booth in Paris, was pleased about extremely high-profile contacts of French premium manufacturers. "By now, word has even spread here in Paris that we have a lot to offer to the creative community with our inspiration portfolios and trend statements, and more and more designers are finding their way to our stand 4B19".
The low pressure system "Sabine" and the outbreak of the Corona virus in China had nevertheless considerably reduced the number of visitors to the fair. "We realised that things were a little quieter than usual", said Reiner Knochel, "but there was all the more time for intensive discussions about the coming season, the latest trends and the possibilities created by our products and our sustainable thread and nonwovens ranges, which was very positive for us".
Just as in Munich, the French and international trade visitors in Paris were particularly impressed by the glittering and sparkling upper threads. "Everything that sparkles, glitters and with which one can set special luminous accents will also be very popular internationally in Spring/Summer 2021", said Reiner Knochel. And so the interest was particularly focused on Gunold's glittering upper threads such as Mety, Glitter, Poly Star, as well as the glowing special threads Glowy, Fluor and Reflex Cry.
*Mety: metallized polyester/polyamide thread in two strengths 5/2 and 7/2
*Glitter: holographic foil, cut as ribbon, for a firework of colours
*Glowy: the thread stores light and emits it in darkness in differently selectable colours
*Fluor: the thread glows at night in a bright hue.
*Reflex Cry: Microscopically small glass beads in the thread lead to reflection in the dark
*Poly Star: A polyester thread and a metallic thread together create many exciting colour combinations
The next Première Vision Paris will take place again in Villepinte from 15 to 17 September 2020.
